Is drinking having a negative effect on your life? Do you want to cut down the amount you drink or stop altogether?
We provide advice and information to assist individuals to make informed choices around alcohol use. We are working across the city to reduce high risk drinking and to lower the incidences of alcohol-related hospital admissions, offending and domestic abuse.
This service is available to anyone aged 16 or over.
The CRI Alcohol Brief Intervention Service is working to make Brighton and Hove a safer and more sociable city whilst improving the health of individuals.
Do you know how much you drink? Many people drink over the recommended weekly maximum limits without realising it.
We provide advice, information, tips and guidance for anyone looking to make changes to their alcohol use.
You can self refer or we take referrals from a wide range of other services including GPs.
We offer between 1 and 4 sessions each lasting from 5 to 20 minutes. The focus is to assist you to gain a clear picture of how much you drink, the potential risks to you and those around you. These include health, emotional, financial and social issues.
The team will work with you to identify practical solutions to assist you to make the changes you choose. We can also refer on to other agencies if there are other issues in your life you need additional support with.
This service is available to anyone aged 16 or over living in the Brighton and Hove area.
