Bromley Drug & Alcohol Service

Who we are

Bromley Drug and Alcohol Service provides an integrated treatment system for adults who have a problem with drug and alcohol use. The service works with people at all points of their treatment journey from engagement into services to recovery. We also provide support services to family and carers whose lives are affected by another’s drug and alcohol use.

The open access service offers assessment 7 days a week.

What we do

Our workers come from a mutli-disciplinary background and we employ; nurses, keyworkers, doctors and counsellors. We also run a volunteer and a peer mentor programme. 

We offer a variety of treatment services including: 

  • Assessment
  • Open access
  • Outreach services
  • Opiate substitute prescribing
  • Community alcohol detoxification
  • Keyworking
  • Counselling
  • Group work
  • Job clubs
  • Peer support
  • Computer access and training
  • Ear acupuncture
  • Family and carer support
  • Criminal justice interventions including Drug Interventions Programmes (DIP)
  • Referral to residential rehab assessment
  • Needle exchange
  • Hepatitis testing and immunisation

In addition we offer open access clinics from satellite locations:

Orpington Hospital, 12pm-4pm
Cotmandene Resource Centre, St Mary’s Cray, Thursday 12pm-4pm
Holy Trinity Church, Penge, 12pm-4pm

We also accept referrals by phone 020 8289 1999.

The DIP service will accept referrals by fax: 0208 2464 0747, by phone (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm 020 8289 1999, and outside office hours by the single point of contact (SPOC) 24/7 number 07738 802 713.

Apart from our main sites we operate from a number of locations including; Bromley police Station, Bromley Magistrates Court, Bail Hostels, Probation, HMP High Down, Princess Royal Hospital, Green Parks Unit and the Beckenham Beacon.
