CAD Adur

Who we are

The Adur Young Persons' Alcohol and Drugs Worker offers support to young people, their families, and other professionals in Adur.

The service operates closely with the Adur and Worthing Safer Communities Partnership.

The service is managed by and located in the West Sussex Young Persons Substance Misuse Service.

What we do

The Adur Community Alcohol and Drugs Worker offers support to young people, adults and professionals in the Adur locality.

The post works closely with the police and antisocial behaviour teams, providing outreach support to young people and families where there are concerns about a young person's substance misuse. As a result of these visits the worker can offer individual support to the young person and direct them to appropriate services.

This post also supports schools and community events by delivering education and awareness raising activities to highlight the associated risks and impacts of using drugs and alcohol.

Outreach is delivered in hotspots identified by the Adur and Worthing Safer Communities Team.

Drug and alcohol training is delivered throughout Adur to professionals who work with young people in Adur.
