CARAT HMP YOI Stoke Heath

Who we are

The Stoke Heath CARAT Team aim to support change by providing psychosocial interventions to all Young Adults that enter the prison.

HMYOI Stoke Heath is a Young Offenders Institute that supports approximately 470 Young Adults at any one time. The CARAT team deliver a series of interventions including structured group work and 1-1 work utilising techniques such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. We are involved in all aspects of sentence planning and offer psycho-social support to clients undergoing clinical management.

We offer Young Adults access to be assessed for accredited comprehensive CBT based offender behaviour programmes. This includes P-ASRO (Prisoners Addressing Substance Related Offending) Programme and TSP (Thinking Skills Programme).

We are a team dedicated to forming positive working relationships with team colleagues and partners across the prison and communities to provide a quality service to Young Adults working with us.
