This specialist service provides comprehensive assessment, care planning and referral services. We also provide structured support tailored to individual needs through one-to-one sessions and access to:

• Specialised treatment
• Harm minimisation advice and information
• Housing
• Employment and training
• Counselling
• Sports and diversionary activities
• 12-step programmes
• Service user and peer support groups
• Existing service users are regularly reviewed to ensure that they are getting the appropriate level of support, and to see if there are any extra referrals that can be made to help with their treatment. If you feel you would benefit from an assessment review ask your worker or ring us.

How do I access the service?

This service can be accessed by drop in or appointment. You can self-refer or be referred from other services or by your GP.

DIP Services

We provide DIP services for individuals who are involved with the Criminal Justice System.

Through DIP, criminal justice and treatment agencies work together with other related partners, to provide a tailored solution for substance misusers who commit crime to fund their drug use. We provide assessment and support for individuals that are subject to Restriction On Bail, for those that have completed their initial assessment at the police station but are required to attend a follow up appointment, and for those held in custody, both during custody and after release. We provide additional support to ensure that services and support are in place to tackle drug use and to reduce crime.

These services include:

• Full assessments
• Comprehensive care plans
• Multi-agency care plan reviews
• Structured support through one-to-ones and group work
• Access to specialist prescribing, stimulant services and alternative therapies
• Specialist support linked to drug use and offending behaviour

Additional to this we provide the innovative new Review Programme, this is an opportunity for stable clients to review their goals and look at their aspirations for the future.

Utilising Contingency management and structured around ITEP interventions, this innovative new service enables clients to raise their aspirations and look at long term goals for the future.
