Who we are

The High Street Project aims to provide an accessible and responsive service that reduces the harm of substance misuse for individuals, carers and the wider community.

To support clients to reduce their drug use and refer clients to other services that will enable them to achieve abstinence. To carry out health care assessments and liaise with and for clients with appropriate health interventions and prescribing services.

The service provides:

  • Drop in testing for BBV's including HIV.
  • Needle Exchange.
  • BBV nurse to provide harm reduction support and wound dressing.
  • Complementary therapies.
  • 1-2-1 support and referral.
  • Specific steroid harm reduction information and advice.
  • Training to community groups and partner agencies on all aspects of harm reduction.
  • Support and information for those who use Melanotan.
  • Specific work with those who are sex working.
