'Gwent DIP is a criminal justice focused, structured, 24-week programme, dealing with individuals referred from:
- the police
- prisons - probation service
- magistrates' courts
- other services when criminality disclosed as an issue
The service offers:
- one-to-one support
- group work
- diversionary activities
- service user forum
- holistic therapies
- medically assisted recovery
The service provides:
- a single point of contact
- advice information and triage
- service user forums
- harm minimisation
- relapse prevention
- housing advice
- family support
- education, training and employment
- mentoring and volunteer opportunities
You can access the service if you live in the Gwent area and:
- are over 18 - are in contact with the criminal justice system - have drug and alcohol misuse issues
The service incorporates:
- arrest referral
- prison resettlement
- one-to-one support
- structured group work
- alternative therapies
