DIP Southwark

Who we are

The Drug Interventions Programme (DIP) in Southwark provides an integrated service and flexible pathway towards recovery for service users. The Southwark DIP service is delivered by the new CRI/Blenheim CDP partnership, offering treatment and care services to drug users who are involved in the criminal justice system. The new service offers an integrated end to end support service, with enhanced pathways to engage service users and move them into treatment and wraparound services away from drug use and crime. 

 The integrated DIP team staff will all be working across multiple sites including:

• Peckham and Catford Police Stations (while Walworth Road Police Station is closed)
• Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court
• Badsworth Road DIP offices
• Treatment providers in the borough
• Prisons across London

 We accept referrals from:

• Prison CARATS teams
• Treatment providers, GPs, Probation or any other Professional
• Self-referrals

What we do

The DIP team offer the following services:

• Assessments & referrals
• Advice & information
• Referral and access to a range of treatment including prescribing, counselling, structured day programs, detox and residential rehab
• Harm minimisation
• One to one structured keyworking
• Specialist support for cocaine and cannabis users
• Prison link support including assessment and care-planning whilst in custody
• Dedicated prison link workers, PPO workers and social worker
• Home visits
• Reducing reoffending support
• Enhancing Motivation
• Goal setting and overcoming blocks
• Relapse management
• Support from volunteers and peer mentors
• Housing, benefits, education/training/employment support
• Support for families and carers
• Access to computers for service users
