Inspire, Pendle

Who we are

Inspire Pendle delivers an Integrated Substance Misuse Service offering rapid and open access assessment leading into treatment for people experiencing a range of problems with drugs and/or alcohol, promoting recovery from addiction and dependence. We have locality bases across East Lancashire in Nelson, Rawtenstall, Burnley, Accrington, Clitheroe making us accessible for people in need of our support. To access support, advice or treatment please drop in to you’re the Nelson service between 9am and 5pm where an assessment will be carried out, treatment options discussed and a recovery plan initiated. 

What we do

All aspects of drug and alcohol treatment are available including Tier 2 & 3 interventions and assessment for and referral to Tier 4. We provide:

A needle exchange and harm reduction service (including testing and vaccinations for Blood Borne Viruses)

Medically assisted recovery from opiate dependency

A range of structured one-to-one psychosocial interventions through our recovery workers

Volunteer and peer mentor opportunities and support

A range of interventions for non-problematic alcohol/cannabis/stimulant users.

Options for community detox for both dependent drinkers and dependent drug users

Referral to inpatient detox

Referral to rehabilitation

Access to shared care available at most GP surgeries

Referral to RAMP (Recovery and Motivation Programme) 12 week rolling programme of group work to address motivation provided by Acorn

Clients who have achieved abstinence can attend our abstinence based intensive 12 step treatment programme provided by Acorn

Family and carer group support including Families And Carers Together

Recovery group

Referral to Work Solutions to deliver employability focussed training, one-to-one support and access to vacancies within the local job market

All options are available for both community clients and those entering treatment through the criminal justice system.

 

Our premises also host staff from the NHS Emotional Health Team, Calico supported housing, dental health team, probation service and HARV independent domestic violence advisors.

9am and 7pm Tuesday

To be referred into the service, during the assessment you will be supported to complete the relevant paperwork and can be signposted/referred to any relevant services for support on your recovery journey. Alternatively you can ring us on 01282 644 100, where we will advise you as to the next steps.
