FACT Families & Carers Together
Volunteers! Our Families & Carers across East Lancashire Need You Now!
It can be hard to know what to do or who to turn to when you think a close relative or friend is drinking too much or taking drugs. FACT is here to support families, friends and partners who are affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol use. We can offer Families, Friends & Partners confidential advice and support to explore their options through assessment, one to one support appointments, access to counselling and access to our peer led support groups. Our peer led ‘Here & Now’ group sessions provide families, friends & partners with the opportunity to speak with other people who know what it’s like. They can also hear from guest speakers with specialist expertise and explore issues that are directly affecting them through topic focused discussions.

• To support families and carers in dealing with Substance misuse issues through assessment, 1 2 1 support appointments, support groups & a telephone helpline service

• To support family and carerswho are or who have been affected by another person’s substance misuse

• To engage families & carers into Inspire & equip them with the skills & knowledge to cope with the issues they face

• To promote Inspire FACT services to the wider East Lancashire community

• To assist families & carers to develop their own support networks through recreational activities & alternative therapies
