Volunteer Reception– East Lancashire
Hours: 2-3 days a week
Current Locations: Burnley, Nelson, Accrington, Rossendale
Inspire East Lancs offers a range of treatment and support services for adults, aged 18 and over, who have concerns about their drug or alcohol use.
We offer an open access service; as such anyone can walk in and be seen by one of our workers.
We are looking for volunteers to join our friendly reception team to assist with day to day running of the reception area of our services.
After a comprehensive training programme you will be placed in a varied role and your duties will include:
• Meeting and greeting service users and other professionals
• Assisting with communications with service users and enquiries from the general public (in person, via telephone, mail or email)
• Inputting data onto the CRI’s data base systems
• To assist in the day to day office duties such as answering internal calls, notifying staff of visitors, opening and distributing mail, filing, photocopying, etc.
• Attend regular training provided by CRI
As a volunteer you will have the benefit of regular supervision and will also be afforded the opportunity of personal and professional development through our various CRI training programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who would like to gain experience in working in this field; wants to do something positive in their local community; and would like to support a busy service.
