Hours: At least two days per week (Mon-Fri; 15 hours approx)
RISE is a borough-wide drug and alcohol recovery service working with people throughout their treatment journey; from engagement, through to treatment, prescribing to aftercare. RISE offers a wide range of interventions to Ealing residents, over 18, their families and partners who are experiencing difficulties with drug or alcohol use.
We have two hubs for service users currently using substances. These are based in Southall and West Ealing. The work done at each hub is almost identical. We are currently looking for a volunteer for our Southall hub who can help to support Punjabi-speaking service users who cannot access services delivered in the English language.
The Punjabi-speaking Recovery Assistant will support service users (including but not limited to Punjabi-speakers) through drug and alcohol treatment by providing key work and care coordination. The volunteer will also support RISE service through involvement in projects and steering groups and support the service by providing occasional admin and operational support.
