Hours: 7.5 per week
Would you like to be based in the community and work with vulnerable adults and young people? You would help to sort out their immediate needs such as accommodation and support them to get access to other services such as housing, benefits advice and treatment programmes. Your duties would include
• gaining their trust and agreeing to let you help them,
• finding out about their situation and their needs
• talking about their options for support
• writing reports and recording information so that other services can help
You should have an understanding of the issues facing homeless people and respect private information whilst keeping people safe, be empathetic towards people and not judge them but also manage behaviour and set limits whilst keeping trust. Knowledge of languages spoken by the local community would be desirable (EU/CEE)
That is a highly rewarding role that offers you the opportunity to build skills and experience and would help you to gain a career in Health and Social Care.
You would need to pass an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
We are an Equal Opportunities organisation and welcome applications from all section of the community
