REACH Rochdale is a Psycho-Social Intervention Service. We offer to support to people misusing a range of substances including cocaine and cannabis.
Our aim is to help people look at the psychological aspects of their substance so that the can make permanent changes to their lifestyle.
We offer one to one and group work from a team of experienced substance misuse workers.
REACH Rochdale is a Psycho-Social Intervention Service based close to Rochdale Town Centre on Drake St. REACH aims to enable people to make permanent changes to their substance use and lifestyle by helping them to identify thoughts and behaviours that make it more difficult to avoid use. We would then support service users to formulate strategies to address these situations.
When someone first accesses REACH we offer an initial assessment with a specialist substance misuse worker. This is an opportunity to for the service user to meet their worker and to discuss their current situation, what has been helpful in the past and what their goals are. As a result of this assessment a personalised care plan can be formulated with the support of the worker so that we can support service user to meet the goals they have identified. This care plan may involve a variety of interventions that REACH has to offer including referral to a range of other local services.
