East Brighton Recovery Centre

Who we are

The structured day programme is aimed to support individuals with drug dependency issues. It is delivered in two parts, one being a drug rehabilitation requirement as part of a community order and the other a voluntary service for individuals who have been referred from various agencies. Both programmes can deliver group work and one to one interventions, covering a range of topics to motivate people to want to change their current pattern of substance misuse, reduce offending behaviour and empower them to make positive changes in their lives.

Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR)

Group work offers you the opportunity to share your experiences and concerns with others in a safe environment. You may benefit from the support of other group members.

Key Work

When you start the Programme you will be allocated a key worker. In the first session you will jointly agree a care-plan, this will be updated on a monthly basis and will serve as a guide to the goals you wish to achieve.

The Programme

Phase One: Working towards abstinence

Phase Two: Abstinent Group

Phase Three: After Care-Relapse prevention (This is offered to both DRR clients and voluntary clients)

Voluntary Programme Offers:

This programme is for anyone who wants to make positive changes to their drug use and who is willing to work in key work sessions to achieve this. We will work with you to achieve your goals. We can provide advice, information and support covering a wide range of issues including health needs, triggers to using and relapse prevention and management.

Stimulant Key Work Only

This is a six session key work programme focusing on topics ranging from effects of stimulants to identifying high risk situations. Parents of Children at Risk (POCAR)

This is a 16-week rolling programme. Each session will cover a different topic ranging from parenting styles, developing emotional security for both parent and child to effects of substance misuse on children. This programme is for men only and we receive our referrals from Social Services.

Relapse Prevention

The group consists of 12 workshops each with a different topic – you can attend as much of this as you think is necessary to meet your needs.

The group runs in the evening so that it is accessible to individuals engaged in education, training or employment. This programme can also be accessed by DRR clients.
