Taking place in September 2014, the festival will celebrate recovery through a series of films about addiction in pop-up cinemas at six locations across England, Wales and Scotland.
Anyone affected by addiction is invited to enter a competition to make a three minute film based on the theme ‘deserving a future’ as part of the festival. A judging panel of film industry professionals will judge the competition, with the winner receiving £1,000 in film-related prizes of their choice.
The judges will select films from among the entries to be part of the film festival, touring the UK to raise awareness of addiction and recovery. All other qualifying films will be made available to view online to help raise awareness of the realities of addiction and recovery.
You don’t need experience of filmmaking to enter, and there's lots of advice on how to make a short film if you’d like to take part.

The closing date for entries is Monday 28th July 2014.
