Safer communities, healthier lives

For yourself

We know everybody’s journey is different, which is why we will work closely with you to design your support plan and help you to reach your goals.

We’re a charity, so access to our support services is always free. If you need help, find your local CRI service now.

The support you receive at a CRI service could include:

  • Regular appointments with a dedicated recovery worker
  • One-to-one counselling
  • Group counselling
  • Peer mentoring by people with personal experience of the issues you’re facing
  • Foundations of Recovery (a non-religious twelve-step programme)
  • Breaking Free Online (an online support tool for your recovery journey)
  • Support with housing
  • Support to get into education or training
  • Needle exchange
  • Testing for blood-borne viruses like HIV and hepatitis
  • Help to access other sources of support, like Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous etc.
  • Other holistic treatments and services

What will happen when I come into a CRI service for the first time?

The first time you visit a CRI service you’ll meet with a trained member of staff who will speak to you about the type of help you need.

If we’re the right service for you, we’ll talk to you about your strengths and create a list of things you want to change. This will be the first step on your recovery journey.

If for any reason we aren’t best place for you to find help at this time, we’ll refer you to another more suitable service.

Start your recovery journey by searching for your local CRI service now.
