Sova

Sova is a charity that works across England and Wales to support, challenge and inspire people to make changes to improve their lives and fulfil their potential. They help ‘hard to reach’ individuals and families, offenders and ex-offenders stay out of trouble, get people into training and jobs, enable people to rebuild their family and personal relationships giving them greater stability, and give people the chance to gain or share skills by volunteering within their own community. Sova merged with CRI in November 2012, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of CRI. CRI and Sova share clear visions and values which mean that each charity benefits from the expertise and experience of the other. Joining forces has allowed both organisations to maximise opportunities to further our work and build stronger, safer communities in England and Wales.

We know how important it is to challenge and motivate people to tackle the factors in their lives that lead them to commit crime, so CRI and Sova work together to help the people we support find inspiring mentors, secure housing, and the education and training they need to lead independent, crime-free lives.

Those who take up volunteering and peer mentoring opportunities with CRI and Sova find enormous satisfaction in the experience of guiding and supporting others, as well as learning valuable skills that will provide them with a pathway out of our services and into employment.
