CRI are recruiting a Consultant Addiction Psychiatrist to work in CRI Southend clinical services. CRI are Europe’s largest addiction treatment provider and offer access to the UK’s largest group of Addiction Specialists and prescribers.
You will be an integral member of a team delivering comprehensive clinical services to clients of the substance misuse service. You will support the service in providing clinical leadership in a number of key strategic areas including mental health, research, education and business development.
You will provide a key part of the comprehensive assessment process and be responsible for the initiation and implementation of treatment and detoxification programmes for clients suffering from dependency to opiates, alcohol, benzodiazepines and stimulants.
The post-holder will provide strategic leadership for the clinical services by ensuring that substance users consistently receive high quality services that adhere to the best practice guidelines and achieve high professional standards. You will work with other senior managers and be responsible for contributing to the overall performance of the service to ensure that contractual output targets are achieved.
Successful candidates will be able to access a well-developed monthly CPD program, receive regular structured supervision and be fully supported in the appraisal and revalidation structure. All doctors within CRI receive weekly protected CPD and are encouraged and supported to get involved in clinical audit and research. Applicants for the above role must be on the Specialist Register of the Royal College of Psychiatrists with an endorsement in substance misuse.
