Make a referral
We can receive referrals from anyone wanting to refer a young adult for support, including the young adult themselves. It is important that the young adult is aware of the referral as our experience suggests that engagement is improved this way. If you would like a member of the team to support initial discussions with a young adult regarding a referral please do let us know and we will be happy to assist.

Volunteering opportunities
We are currently looking for motivated and open minded individuals to volunteer on the Sova CRI Greenwich Mentoring Project at the Greenwich 17>25 Service. We train and support volunteers to work with young adults between the ages of 17-25 who are in need of support, at risk of offending or misusing alcohol/drugs. Our mentors provide practical advice and emotional support, helping service users to make informed choices and have better lives.
No experience is necessary as full accredited training is provided. Training will include specialist training in working with young adults and substance misuse.
Time commitment: 1-4 hours per week. Closing date 01/04/2016

What our volunteers say
“I genuinely enjoy working with Sova CRI Greenwich, overall you are progressing every month in practice and knowledge, and your personal development is also of importance to Sova, as other opportunities have been open for me to pursue.” Volunteer (March 2015)
“One of the things I least expected to gain from my experience of working with service users, was really understanding how people can develop and use their transferable skills, and how I am able to use my own. Some of the service users have such high resilience to what they have overcome in their lives, and although the role is not reciprocal I can honestly say that working with service users has been highly invaluable. I hope to promote the charity further, even after I leave.” Leoni, Sova CRI Greenwich volunteer (March 2015)
Our phone lines is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The service is open from 9am- 5pm Monday to Friday with one late night opening a week.
However, if it is more convenient we can meet you at a suitable location, just let us know the time and place.
