An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dedicated and outcome focused Alcohol Detox Nurse to join our dynamic team based in Southend on Sea. The role will require you to work closely with the existing team to holistically support adult service users to enter and move through an integrated Treatment and Recovery Substance Misuse Service and increase opportunities for service users to achieve sustainable treatment outcomes within Southend.
The post holder will provide alcohol harm reduction advice, information and equipment and ensure all equipment is disposed of safely. The post holder will utilise appropriate prevention techniques in order to; reduce substance misuse related harm and aid in the prevention of blood borne virus and other infectious diseases by implementing an immunisation and vaccination scheme whilst providing professional advice and information to others in the management and care of individuals with substance misuse issues. To develop and set up Alcohol Detoxification services, in line with CRI best practice protocols, in a variety of different settings including pharmacies, primary care, clients home, etc.
To provide formal and informal training packages to other staff, professionals and service users on health related topics including Brief interventions.
